Vigabatrin is this med used to treat hard-to-handle seizures and those little fits in babies. It’s known as a GABA transaminase inhibitor, which just means it boosts GABA in the brain. Boosting that GABA helps keep seizures in check.

You can get this med in two types — 500 mg tablets or a powder in little packets. The usual dose for adults and kids is 1 to 3 grams, broken up into a few doses a day. These come in bottles holding 100 tablets.
