Lorlatinib is a type of third-generation cancer drug called an ALK inhibitor. It’s used for people with a specific kind of lung cancer that’s ALK-positive and has spread, and that’s not responding to other ALK drugs. It hooks right onto these little protein parts called ALK and ROS1 that are super important in cancer cells growing like wildfire.

Lorlatinib comes in two types of tablets: 25 mg and the bigger 100 mg ones, both with a special coating. The doc suggests you take 100 mg a day, either with food or on an empty stomach—your choice. Each bottle has 30 of these coated tablets.
