Generic Proteasome Inhibitor for MM

So, Ixazomib is this proteasome inhibitor thingy that’s used with other stuff to treat multiple myeloma. It’s all about stopping cancer cells from breaking down their proteins. You can get it in different strengths—2.3, 3, and 4 milligrams in capsules.

For grown-ups, they usually say take 4 milligrams once a week, on days 1, 8, and 15 of a four-week cycle. Each time, you take three capsules. It comes in these blister packs with three capsules each, just for one 4 mg dose.

You should only take this stuff with a doc’s eye on you. Some folks might get side effects like the runs, being constipated, or throwing up, stuff like that.
