Belzutifan is a tiny pill that stops HIF-2α. It’s meant to help with a type of cancer known as VHL RCC. This medication works by blocking the function of hypoxia-inducible factor 2 alpha (HIF-2α), a protein that helps cancer cells survive and grow in low oxygen conditions, which is a characteristic of hypoxic tumor environments.

Belzutifan is a 40 mg tablet with a special coating. Adults should take three of these 40 mg pills a day. Each bottle holds 90 of these tablets.
