Anagrelide is used to lower platelet counts in people with essential thrombocythemia. It’s a type of platelet-lowering drug that works by stopping the maturation of megakaryocytes. You can get these in caps at 0.5 mg each, and they come in boxes of 100.

You’re usually supposed to take 0.5 mg four times a day, but your doc might tweak the dose if they need to. You can take them with or without meals. Just make sure you stick to your treatment schedule.
