Dabrafenib is a kind of targeted therapy. It’s made to stop the BRAF gene from working in people who’ve got certain mutations, like V600E/K. It’s given for skin cancer that has spread and for a type of lung cancer that has this BRAF thing going on.

Dabrafenib works by zeroing in on something called the BRAF kinase to turn off the wrong signals in cancer cells. That stops them from multiplying. You can get Dabrafenib in pill form, either in 50 mg or 75 mg strengths.
