Generic Drugs: Ibrutinib 140mg Capsules/Tablets

So, Ibrutinib is this thing that’s a BTK inhibitor. It’s used for treating Mantle Cell Lymphoma, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, and something called Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia. It stops BTK from doing its thing, and that messes with cancer cells’ growth and survival.

You can get this stuff in 140 mg caps or tabs, and the doc usually tells you to take between 420 and 560 mg every day. It usually comes in a bottle with 90 tabs. The caps are these oval, hard yellow things with ‘Ibrutinib’ on one side and ‘140 mg’ on the other.

The tabs look pretty much the same as the caps—oval, yellow, and with lines down the middle, ‘Ibrutinib’ on one side, ‘140 mg’ on the other. Make sure you take this stuff at the same time every day, with or without eating. Keep taking it, even if you feel okay.

There are side effects, like bruising, bleeding, infections, low blood counts, diarrhea, feeling tired, and joint pain. And you’ve got to keep an eye out for any liver or kidney issues.
