So, Afatinib is this thing known as an EGFR/HER2 inhibitor med. It’s mainly used to treat something called non-small cell lung cancer, or NSCLC. And it’s for folks with specific changes in the EGFR gene—exon 19 deletions or L858R mutations.

It works by blocking that EGFR signaling thing. There are tablets in 20 mg, 30 mg, or 40 mg doses. The usual recommendation is 40 mg a day.
