Momelotinib is this JAK1/2 inhibitor we use to treat myelofibrosis with anemia. It helps shrink the spleen and calm down the inflammation. You can get it in two doses: 100 mg and 200 mg, both in these film-coated tablets.

The doc usually recommends taking 200 mg of it every day. These tablets come in bottles with 30 in each. The mechanism of action involves inhibiting the Janus kinase (JAK) enzymes JAK1 and JAK2, which are involved in the signaling pathways that drive the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic cells, as well as the inflammation that contributes to myelofibrosis.
The idea is to make things better for folks with myelofibrosis, both with the symptoms and how the disease gets worse. You can take it with or without eating. And the dose doesn’t change with how old you are, how much you weigh, or how your kidneys are doing, by the way—it’s the same for people with kidney problems.
You’ll need to keep an eye out for side effects, like anemia, low platelet count, and infections.
