Vemurafenib is used to treat BRAF V600E-mutant melanoma. It works by stopping the BRAF protein that’s part of the RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK signaling thing. This whole pathway is big because it’s all about cell splitting and growing.

Vemurafenib comes as tablets with a thin coating. Each one has 240 mg of the main stuff. Adults usually take 960 mg of the stuff, twice a day.

You can take it with or without food. The tablets come in bottles with 112 of them. The idea is to stop the BRAF signaling, which should help slow down how the cancer grows.
