Mitotane is a drug that treats adrenocortical carcinomas. It’s an adrenal cytotoxic agent, which basically means it’s not friendly to the adrenal glands. This drug is made to keep the adrenal glands from doing much.

You’ll find mitotane as 500 mg tablets. You start with 2 to 6 grams a day, divided into a few doses. How much you take depends on how well you can handle it, though.

Mitotane comes in bottles, each with 100 tablets.
