Sotripentol Capsules 50mg/kg/Day

Sotripentol is mainly used to treat Dravet syndrome, it’s an anticonvulsant medicine. It works by boosting the process that uses GABA, a brain chemical that’s really important and helps reduce seizures. You can get Sotripentol in two strengths: 250 mg or 500 mg in capsules.

The usual dose is 50 mg per kilogram of body weight, taken once a day and mixed in with other epilepsy drugs. Sotripentol usually comes in bottles with 60 capsules. You need to take it just like your doctor tells you, and any changes in dose should be done with a doctor’s okay.

Sotripentol might work differently for different people, and there are some side effects to watch out for. Commonly, people might feel tired, really sleepy, have trouble balancing, or feel numb. You should also keep an eye out for signs of liver or kidney problems, and any shifts in your mood or mental health.
