Vigabatrin is a med designed to help with hard-to-control epilepsy and a type of seizure that baby kids might get. It works by blocking an enzyme, which in turn makes more of a brain chemical called GABA. That brain chemical, GABA, helps calm down the nerves and helps stop seizures.

You can get it in 500 mg pills or in a powdery mix in a little bag to make it easier to take. They usually say to take 1 to 3 grams a day, split up into a few doses if you need to. Whether you take it with food or on an empty stomach, it’s up to you—it’s easy to take.

Each bottle has 100 tablets, so you’ve got a month’s supply for the regular dose—a pill or two a day, both 500 mg, like.
